Unable to upload Applicant signature for OCI registration

Hi All,

While trying to upload the applicant image and signature I am getting the below error.

Applicant signature should be only jpeg/jpg file. Please select another one.

Both image and signature are in JPEG format
Both are below 200KB and the dimension is also as per instructions.

Can some one please help if you have faced this issue.

Just make sure its JPEG file and less than 200KB in size. What I did was, AFTER signing a blank piece of paper, I scanned the image using my HP software that came with my printer/scanner (I am sure there are other softwares that can do the same) what you need to do is to crop the image to just your signature and save as a JPEG file. If the file size is still more than 200kb, use Abobe photoshop to reduce the image size. It might take some trial & error but eventually works.
