OCI issues with records

Hi

I need advice/tips and any assistance.
I am in the process of applying for OCI.
My unabridged birth certificate shows my parents details and my dads
unabridge birth certificate shows his both parents were born in india.

Both grandparents cames as passenger indians to South africa
How can i find from the archives in india more info om their british india passport, date of entry and ship arrival
as the archives in South africa are unable to retrieve any info.

Is there a reason why you need travel details? Is the birth certificate and/or your parents passport not sufficient to apply?
