Very confused, please help

My daughter got a new passport about one year ago. Instead of returning the old passport, they destroyed it.

We have an OCI booklet that has the old passport number in it. We have a current, valid passport. We do not have the old passport.

Will India Immigration allow her in? What other steps could I take, for example, apply for e-visa?

If you have copies of the old passport that got destroyed, you can take it with you. Usually at immigration, they might not even ask for the old passport as long as you have the OCI booklet and current passport
