OCI card for India trip

Hello all,

We are planning a trip to India in december. Both me and my wife are US Citizens by naturalization. We applied for e-visa and got the email approval.

My son (6 year old) is US Citizen by birth. We got his OCI card in 2012. The OCI card is valid till 2027. Can we use this OCI card for my son during our trip to India ?

Oh, NO!! What we have for our son is not OCI. It is actually the PIO card!! Can we use that one ??

Also, my son's PIO card was issued in 2012 and is valid till 2027. But the passport details in the PIO card on the last page have changed. We have since applied new passport. Can we still use the PIO card to travel to India ?
