  • India trip while OCI In process

    Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding my kid India trip, I applied New OCI card for my newborn baby and status says under process. I might be approved in next 20-30 business days.
    1. Can she travel India by applying e-visa to her?
    2. We haven't decided on a return trip. So my second question is, can she use her approved OCI card (In case approved) to stay there for more than 6 months?

Also, I want to know what's the procedure to update to Indian embassy on long stay( more than 6 months).

    Appreciate your help...

    Thanks,
    Naresh

i have same question too. i applied OCI for my kid 20 days back and not sure when it will come. if kid wants to go to india while OCI is under process, can we apply for Visitor Visa and go? i think e-visa is valid for 60 days stay only(not sure). Visitor visa is for 10 years validity with 6 months max stay in the year in each trip.
