Indian Passport Renewal for Minor in USA - documents to notarize

I filled out the online application(s) for renewing my child's Indian passport. It produced a checklist at the end of the process. I see only 2 documents (Online Passport Application Form and Change of Appearance/Signature Form) that are specified as "Original Notarized". The rest fall under Original or "Self Attested Copy".

However, in the immihelp website and other websites, I see instructions for notarizing everything including photocopies of visa/passport etc. Anyone has a personal experience in this?

Your application may be little different. Look at the checklist document. It says what to be sent as copy, self attested and what to be notarized. You don't have to notarize everything.

The change of appearance form has to be notarized on the form with the photo. I did that for my kid's OCI. But I am not if that is required as kids would have grown every time you renew!

can you tell me which documents are needed to renew indian passport in US?
I am currently in dubai and my daughters passport expires in 2020.
