  • Notary for OCI Application

Hi - I'm in the process of filling out a first time OCI application for my 2 year old son and am confused about the notary process of the documents.

For physical submission at the CKGS centre, do we STILL need to get each copy of the documents notarized? Or we can we just bring the originals to the centre and show them proof?

I read in another thread that you don't need to get the documents notarized if you present the physical original copies at the centre (if attending in person).

    Clarification would be appreciated, thanks!

Yes, you are correct, notarization means that you have signed in front of some authorized witness like a public notary. If you go in person, the CKGS agent is your witness so need to notarize anything!
