New OCI - Arrival stamp at India Immigration

We got New OCI for our newborn kid this year. It is booklet similar look like passport. There is no other stickers in OCI and no sticker in US passport. recently my kid traveled to india and came back to US. I don?t see any arrival date stamp from indian immigration in her US passport and no arrival stamp in OCI book let. I see Departure date stamp from indian immigration in US passport.

Don’t they do arrival stamp for OCI holders at indian immigration? But i see departure stamp in US passport.

Never mind i see that stamp. But departure stamp in india was stamped on 25th page endorsement page in US passport. All visa pages are empty in passport but this guy stamped in 25th endorsement page in US passport. Arrival stamp in india was in one of the visa pages, departure also he should have printed in same page but he did not even care and do not know rules. anyways not a big deal. Why don’t india do electronic instead of arrival, departure date stamps in india

Honestly, I think you are making mountains of a molehill. There are no "rules" AFAIK that the two stamps need to be on the same page. They can be stamped anywhere in the passport.

Vikky...I agree with you ; even though it's legally okay to endorse the arrival / departure stamp anywhere in the passport, they should be a little more systematic. If you went to 10 other airports across the world and they starting endorsing anywhere in the passport ; it would be a clusterf@ck ...the guy stamping the exit visa would have to look through the entire passport to find your arrival stamp....in my opinion, they should stamp in ascending order of the pages in the passport.
