  • PIO Card via Mail

    Hi,
Can any one list set of documents for PIO Card obtained via mail from NY consulate.
Please mention document name, number of copies, notorized or not etc.

We visited NY consulate web-site and their requirements include sending orginal passports, orginal Birth Certificates etc. Is it safe to send these via mail?
    Please share your experiences.

    Thanks

The indian consulate website says, incase sending by mail, send only notarized photocopies.

"When sending by mail, only notarized copies of the documents that are required to be submitted with the application may be enclosed. Please do not send original documents unless it is required by us and we have specifically asked for it after the submission of the application. The requirements are at How to Apply ."
