Indian visa for US citizen

Hi,

I have a son who is US citizen. He got Indian visa for 10 years (till 2012).
Recently I renewed his passport. He has valid visa stamping(2012) in the old passport. Now does he need visa stamping in new Passport ? We are travelling to India in June. Please let me know whether he need stamping in the new passport .

According to information on websites of Indian consulates in the US, your son can either apply to transfer the visa to the new passport, or he can travel with both the old and new passports showing the visa in the old one.
