  • PIO Card if no Indian passport?

    Hi,

I am indian origin and i become us citizen about 4 years back. Now i have son, i want to get his PIO card before visiting india. However, i can't find my indian passport, can i still apply for PIO card for my son. Or is there any other alternative i can approach. My parents still have indian passport and US passport. Can i apply PIO card for my son by sending my parents passport?

    thanks for your help.

      Thanks for your reply,

      1) If i can do then when i send my son's PIO form, do i need to send my passport or any other document with my parents indian and usa passport (of course i will send his USA passport)

      2) i live in NC do you know if i can apply at NY or DC. If their website says i NC are people can be serve in DC means i have to go that DC counselor office only?

      Thanks,

rest of the documents will be as requested by consulate.

If applying on person you can go anywhere but when you mail it then you need to apply to consulate with jurisdiction over you.
