child birth certificate

Hi
Im trying to apply for PIO card for my daughter. Among the requirements of docs i see birth certificate. I have a birth ceriticate which says truest copy of the birth record .....this i obtained from my town hall...but my dayghter was born at a different city... I Obtained her US passport using this certificate....and even travelled to canada using this.
My question is this ok to send for the PIO card docs as birth ceritifcate or should i get the original.


I would be thankful if someone could help me.....
