Dear All,
I have the following queries:
1. I am a British National with PIO . I did register my PIO with the local authorities before the commencement of the 6th month.Its been over 7months , since I arrived.PIO holders can stay for 15 years am I right ? How long does the registration process take?
2.My Father is an Indian Citizen and Mother a British Citizen.I am planning to get Indian Citizenship.How do I go about this?
3.I was born in UK and lived all my life in India.Acquired my British passport in India.Never applied for an Indian passport. My British passport took more than 4 years to come through which created quite a change in my plans.Had to apply for Indian visa when it came through.The visa never came through I finally got police clearance and left India stayed with my Brother in UK and got the PIO in UK.Now I am back in India would like to get Indian Citizenship.Is my legal standing clear.
