Indian citizenship & passport

Hi Sir / Ma'm,

I work & live in US on H1B , I recently got married and my wife is a Vietnamese citizen. We are looking to change her name and apply for her Indian citizenship & passport.

Please assist us on how to do it.

I don't think she can apply for Indian citizenship and passport just like that. She must be living in India for a long time.
