Name Change

Hello,

When I had my interview on March 29th, I had my application include a name change from my maiden name to my married name. However, I would like to keep my maiden name for my Naturalization Certificate.

I am now scheduled for my Naturalization Oath Ceremony on April 30th. How can I request that I keep my maiden name for my Naturalization Certificate?

If it is too late, can you please let me know if I need to do a name change after the Oath Ceremony? And what I need to do for a name change back to my maiden name?

Just tell the officer at the oath ceremony that you would like to keep your old name.
