PIO card- child adult countersign reqd?

Has anybody applied PIO card for a small child at San Francisco lately? On the form I understand that thumb fingerprint is required for a child who cannot sign. In addition do the parents have to countersign the application?

Just realized that my son's PIO card shows his year of birth as 200 instead of 2007. Date and month show correct information though.

Will this be an issue if I travel to India. I'm scheduled to leave on 31st of July.

Can I walk into Indian Embassy in DC and get it corrected?

Please advise.

Hi,

I applied recently for PIO card for my 4 month son- at SFO.
Me and my wife..we did not signed the application and we received the PIO in 25 days

Put a covering letter on the top of all the documents mentioning what all documents you are sending , Your baby Passport details .

In case you are signing the application , just mention that in the covering letter.

Please note I sent all notarized photcopies and only ORIGINAL Birth ceritificate of my son..
