My child was born in US may 2008, and he has got a US passport and indian entry visa valid for 5 years. In the visa it clearly states that my child can only stay in India for 6 months. We are planning to r2i to india Feb 2009. Should I apply for PIO or OCI card for my son to stay beyond 6 months, and so he does'nt require any registraion with immigration officials since he will be overstaying the visa period. Please give me your suggestions if you have been in same situation and how you solved it.
