Indian Visa and OCI Card

Hello,

I recently applied for my US Passport. Once I get my passport, I may have to travel to India right away for family emergency.

Since OCI will take around 2/3 months, can I apply for an Indian Visa and once I receive the Visa, apply for the OCI Card. Can I apply for the OCI card and then travel to India on the Visa? If not, what are my options?

Apply for Indian visa for immediate travel.

Apply OCI as well. One will not cause problem for other.
