Expiry of Passport

Hi,

I have a multiple entry visa for US. I intend to go to vist US for 15 days on Oct. 2nd. I have confirmed reservations for travel and will be back on 18th October. My passport (Indian) is expiring in December 2008.

I have come to know that in certain countries, one is required to have a passport which is valid for a minimum period of 6 months beyond the travel date. I would like to know if there is any such requirement for US?

Please let me know, your help shall be greatly appreciated.
