Agriculture land

Hello,
I am taking my citizenship next week and planning to apply for OCI.
Question: Once become citizen, i should not buy agriculture land in india. I am trying to find "what exactly mean by Agriculture land". In indian goverment what kind of land they considered as agriculture land. because , i am buying a land in india(empty land) for investment purpose. How should i verify , is it agricultural land or not.

You can check with the local government to see if the land you are buying is zoned as agricultural land or not.

Most land that people are trying to buy for investment purposes are zoned for agricultural, unless it has been convered into "NA". (Non-Agricultural).
