I have recently got my passport issued by Govt of India. Now while trying to fill out a form which asked specifically to provide my Passport No, I found that the no should be of 8 digits. As my passport number contains only 7 digits, which I was told, not usual, I was requested to verify it again. I'll be obliged if you inform me whether I should report the matter to the Passport Authority immediately.
