Just wanted to point out a discrepancy between the CGI Houston website and the immihelp website on the matter of signing the PIO application in case of a minor. Could someone give me the correct procedure?
Per CGI Houston website:
Q: If the applicant is a minor, who should sign his / her PIO card application?
A: The PIO card application of a minor should be signed by both the parents. However, in the boxes provided for the specimen signature of the applicant, either the minor should sign himself / herself or his/her thumb impression (left for boys and right for girls) should be provided (in case the minor is too young to sign).
Per immihelp website:
Signature: In case of minor if the applicant cannot sign, please obtain Right Hand Thumb impression for female and Left Hand Thump impression for male applicant. Parents should not sign on behalf of minor applicants. Please don't forget to put signature (thump impression if applicant can not sign)
in the boxes provided for specimen signature at the end of the application as well as at the end of the application.
Thanks!
