PIO / OCI / Entry Visa - Need clarifications

Hi - I am expecting a baby soon and I might need to go back to India based on my work.I am not sure how soon i can come back to USA.

I spoke to few of my friends and got 2 different answers. Can you please guide me.

Here are set of my questions:

Set:1

We can apply for PIO before going to India and this PIO is valid for 15 Years.
When we are at the 15 year of PIO, kid will be also 15 years old.

Q:
1. Will I be able to apply for OCI at the age of 15 years of my kid?
2. If the answer is no, Will i be able to renew the PIO from India or is it must for the kid to come to US to renew the PIO.
3. What is the age limit to apply for OCI

Set:2

I heard we can apply Entry Visa for 5 years and go to India.
Before end of 5 years, we can apply for PIO from India.
By doing this, we will be able to stay for 20 years (5 years of Visa + 15 years of PIO Card)
When the kid is 18 years old, we can apply for OCI from India

Q:
1. Does the above scenarios works?
2. Is it true, When the kid is 18 years old, we can apply for OCI from India

We are Citizen of India holding Indian Passport.

Your child will have to apply for PIO. Not eligible for OCI.

1. Will I be able to renew the PIO from India, as the PIO validity is only 15 years.

2. At what age, i will be able to apply for OCI?

2. Not, if both parents are still Indian citizens.
