OCI Status Not Visible on Website

Hi,
I applied for OCI for my family at the Chicago consulate (submitted personally) on 17 Sept 2009. It's been a week already and I don't see any status on the website.

I put in my Registration number in

http://ociindia.nic.in/ociindia/OnlineOCIenquiry.jsp?search=2&button=go

and it says the below. What is a reasonable time to wait before the status shows up?

Its finally online. On 29 Sept. So it takes 13 days.

Thanks for the update amchigelo. I am also waiting for my application update (Chicago). I believe I should get an update next week or so as I have just filed last week.

Bhavi, good luck. Once they put the status online (about 13-14 days after they get the form), it is quick. I just got an email that it was approved! Now I just have to wait for it to reach Chicago.

I just saw that my OCI's arrived at the Chicago consulate. Have to go to get the passport stamped.

Finally its done!
Got the passport stamped and also the booklet.
It was an easy process.

Does this OCI 'U' Visa sticker in U.S passport has our picture stamped along with visa?
Let em know the URL if there is any sample one that cud be seen.

Any updates on your OCI status. I have sent in my OCI around October 9th and till now Chicago consulate did not acknowledge it. Please keep you application status posted, Iwill do the same.
