oci application...urgent!!!!!plss!!!!!!!!!

I have completed the naturalisation process to obatin my british citizenship yesterday, and i am planning to travel india in two months time,my question is, do i need to obtain the british passport before apply for oci? or can i apply with my naturalisation certificate as a proof of citizenship. Because if i apply for british passport now it will take two-three weeks to get it and i won't have enough time to apply for oci. please give me an advice
