PIO Card- Name spelt wrongly

I've received PIO card for my son. But his name is spelled wrongly. One letter from his first name is missing. What should I do now?

Do I need to apply for a new PIO card? Or should I send the PIO card back and send a letter along with it to fix it?

Suggest sending back with letter explaining error and photocopies of docs with correct spelling (I wouldn't bother with notarizing -- they should already have the docs you already sent). Also please post the consulate you're working with and the amount of time it takes to correct to help future searchers.
