Surname change in passport - Urgent help reqd

Need your urgent help/guidence....please

Myself and family have valid US visa. My son passport got expired and applied for new passport. In his previous passport, the surname was not mentioned(full name mentioned in the Given name area).

Now, when I applied for new passport for my son, I applied as his Surname as : (please note that there is no change in the name at all). Since he already have valid US visa, do we need to apply for a change in visa page also for the above update. If yes, can you please guide me on what is the process on this.

My concern is, Travel is very critical. Needs to travel in 2 weeks time. Please help us by guiding if there is any change required on this. So that I can avoid last minute issues while travelling.

It would be best to carry both the passports.

If you want the visa in the new passport in new name, you will have to go through visa processing all over again.
