Hi All,

I had applied pio card by mail 2 weeks back, Since I am travelling to India can I collect back the same in person or I have to apply for a visa.

Which consulate did you apply to? Most US consulates are not good about answering the phones, so unless you can visit the consulate in person you may have to wait for the processing to complete -- mine took four weeks from the Houston consulate.

If you do get your passport back before the PIO processing is complete, you'd need a regular visa to travel there.

Thanks. Fortunately I had applied with all the notarized document and I still hold the original passport with me.
