In my original OCI, middle name is misspelled by 1 letter. Now I am renewing the OCI. I also filled out the Misc form to make this correction and sent all the usual documents as per checklist. There was no specific doc asked for this correction. Now they have put the application on hold and asking for document for name change. Doesn't say what kind of doc is needed. This is not a name change(so no court documents) but a spelling correction in the middle name. Any suggestions on what do I need to do ? I am planning to write a letter and attach(again) the few docs like old Indian passport, new US passport etc.
