CKGS/Gov sites dont have instructions on required specific documents for OCI renewal
Hi folks,
CKGS How To Apply - San Francisco New Passport" states Step-1 is to go to government site and there are some superficial instructions, and just a blanker statement saying
The problem I am facing now is that
- CKGS site just tells to go to Gov site and use OCI Miscellaneous Services.
- The Gov site with OCI Miscellaneous Services has a pop up at the start of the process - but it only has instructions for fresh OCI applications and for applications in lieu of PIO card – there is no mention of what renewal application. On proceeding I am getting presented with the below (see Pic1) – but the links to both Guidelines & FAQ are broken, and link to Instructions has been saying that the URL is inaccessible for the past few days.
- I have completed Part A and Part B of the application process, I am in “Upload supporting documents (Mandatory)” stage and I have no idea what documents do I need to upload and many of the options in drop down doesn’t make any sense. Also as it is just a renewal, it doesn’t make sense for them to ask for all the documents like a new application. See Pic2 attached.
I would really appreciate any guidance?

It is mandatory to upload all the necessary documents online on the OCI Government of India Website before you take the print out of the OCI application form to avoid technical rejection.
The problem I am facing now is that
