OCI document upload: Employment Verification Letter

Dear All: In the document update section, I see that there is an item for an employment verification. Is this a necessary document that needs to be uploaded (this is not mentioned in the VFS list of documents). Did any of you who applied for OCI this month (November) had to upload it? Could you please let me know?

I applied for my sister and didn't upload it. I haven't received an update stating that application has been transferred to embassy. Just received confirmation for receive.

I sent the OCI application on Monday(Nov 30) and it got delivered on tuesday (Dec1). But i have not received any confirmation that they received the application. How long does it take to receive the acknowledgement mail from VFS ?

My application for OCI got delivered 2 weeks ago, but I never got acknowledgment mail from them until just yesterday, but it was because my application was missing a few documents.
