OCI rejected at VFS..Incomplete application

Hello,

My oci got rejected at VFS. I thought I had all the paperwork properly. I had misspelt my Father's name. They initially sent an email stating i need to fill a new application and reference the application but within a day the package was picked up by fedex and sent it back to me which I just received it. There is a note which says i need to fill a new application and also need to make payment again. It was $330, they should somehow be using my previous payment. It's a lot of money to pay again. It's a ripoff. Do you know if this is right? They didn't even go through the processing it further. Now to call VFS I need to put in my credit card info...so frustrating.

hi pinky456 whats the update? you ended up paying money again for the new application. Its not fair to charge complete amount $330 if they rejected the application.
Have you tried disputing the charge?

This is weird - coz i forgot to send my birth certificate on the original application. VFS Houston just asked me to upload it electronically later and my application seems to continue to process!

hi pinky, is there any update? I haven't sent my application yet, just realized I forgot to enter my mom's lastname in the registration form. Wondering if I need to redo the whole thing? any help is greatly appreciated.
