Regarding OCI for Self from Chicago VFS - do any documents have to be notarized or simply self-attested?
Demand draft / Cashier's Check for $275 - is that to be sent along with the application ? Who should this be made out to ?
Online application - Part A and B are done. Instructions are not clear.

Hi, I just applied for OCI for self and I fall under the Chicago jurisdiction.
I did not self attest any documents. Just copies of the original.
Are you not paying online through credit card to VFS? The money order has to be made out to "VFS Services (USA) Inc"

What are the particular aspects where you are having issues with the instructions?

Thank you for your response - I received an email from VFS as well. I guess, I just did not read the instructions clearly. I think it is better to go with a Cashier's Check. Online payment seems to be charging twice for the courier. Can I use the same VFS login to apply for Children's OCI as well or should a new login be created for each person ? Should Parent's attest the documents of the Children or Children should sign the copies - Renunciation Certificate etc... ??

You can use the same login.
They are charging you twice with online payment? That's strange. There should be two transaction for the couriers - 1. $30 round trip and 2. $15 US passport return.

I only applied for self so I am not quite sure about the particular details regarding application for children. I believe you have to submit a thumbprint impression from what I read on the checklist. But others who may have applied for children may provide you a better answer.
