Surrender Certificate Question

Dear Sir.

My wife and I came to the US in 1970. We got Naturalized in 1980 and hold valid US passports as well as OCI cards obtained 2 years ago. Our cancelled Indian passports have been misplaced and we have been unable to find them.

Please advise us what to do. Do we need to apply for surrender certificate and if so how? Your help will be much appreciated.

You don't need it now. However, if you want to get any service from the consulate in future, you do need it at that time.
