No status available for Renunciation Application SFO

I applied for renunciation of Indian citizenship and mailed my application to the VFS center San Francisco on Feb 15. I received an initial email "your package has been received at the VFS application Centre. Our current processing times are longer than usual. Your application will be reviewed with 48-72 business hours. You are requested to track the status of your application after 2-3 business days. "
The online application tracking says "Invalid Inputs", I tried inputting with govt ARN number, USA passport number and Indian Passport number with the birthdate but none of them were recognized.
I tried calling their paid call center, but dropped off after about an hour of being on hold.
Any helpful pointers would be much appreciated.

You won't see any status until they actually take up your application for processing. I sent in my application on Feb 05 and received the initial acknowledgement email on Feb 09. I was also getting the "invalid input" status on their website until Mar 01 when I had received an email saying that my application was under processing. Received another email on Mar 03 saying that they have sent the application to the consulate and the VFS website status was also changing accordingly. I haven't received any further updates after that and it seems my application is still with the consulate.

So, the bottom line is you still have to wait for another week or two before anything happens.

Just received my cancelled passport back and here is the timeline and status updates

02/05/21 : Application mailed via FedEx
02/09/21 : "your package has been received at the VFS application Centre. Our current processing times are longer than usual. Your application will be reviewed with 48-72 business hours."
03/01/21‘ " Received’ your Application and your application is now ‘Under Process’ at San Francisco."
03/03/21 :"Your Application has been ‘Processed’ at the VFS India Consular application Centre and currently is ‘In-Transit‘ to the Embassy of India/Consulate General of India for decision making."
03/19/21 : "Your Application has been reviewed by the Embassy of India/ Consulate General of India & will be dispatched using the courier service you had opted."
03/19/21 : "Your document (s) is dispatched using the return label purchased or sent by you.If using VFS courier, please check for email from "[email protected]" for details."
03/22/21 : Received documents in hand.
