OCI + SC @ SF office

I have applied for an OCI card and Surrender certificate simultaneously on Aug 30, 2010. Befor sending the application I asked the consulate the total processing time if both of them are applied together. The reply that I received was 45 days. I am travelling to India on Thanksgiving day. After reading the forums it more or less looks like 65 days for the process.

I emailed consulate again today and they assured me that my paperwork would be complete before I travel. Knowing the Indian consulate I am worried should I beleive them? Do I have any other options other than wait??

If anyone knows anything please let me know.

I am in a very similar situation. Where did you send the email? I have been trying to get an email confirmation but have not heard from the consulate.

I sent an email on their contact us site... I did add very Urgernt on my subject. They are not good with replies. It takes them forever to reply to any emails. I think I would have sent them 10 emails and I received a reply on one of them... Give it try.. good luck and keep me posted as well
