  • Minor PIO Card Holder Applying for OCI

I and my wife are Indian born US Citizens and my daughter is US Born Citizen and a PIO Card Holder. We are in the process of applying OCI at the New York office for the entire family. I submitted part A online and have the registration numbers I have the following questions before I send the application out to the New York office,

    1) Does the PIO card for minor need to be submitted in original at the time of application or a copy should do it? ( The insturctions are not clear online)

    2) If a copy of the PIO needs to be sent, does that need to be notarized or self attestation by one of the parents is needed

    2) Can the mailing charges need to be mailed later or at the time of application?

I would appreciate if someone can pleaser answer the above at the earliest.

    1. You need to submit the original PIO card.
    2. In addition you also need a notorized copy of the PIO.
    3. The mailing charges are to be send later along with the original passports.

I already completed part A online as part of OCI for the entire family and have now decided to not include my daughter. Is it ok to send out the documentation only for mysel and my wife even though part A was also filled for my daughter. Please responf asap.

Please start a new application to avoid any problems and delays. It is perfectly ok to start a new application.
