Regarding E-Visa to OCI Conversion

I am in a great dilemma and I am hoping you could help me with my situation. I am an Indian Origin Person, recently got naturalized as USA Citizen and I have got my OCI card. My minor child (8 years old) is also a USA Citizen. I did apply for an OCI card for him, but that is getting delayed. I have to travel to India (from the USA) due to a family emergency, on Nov 20 and need to stay in India for 2 months.

Can my minor child enter India using the E-Visa which has 30 days validity and exit India using the OCI card. I am hoping that his OCI card will arrive sometime next week and my husband will bring that to India (he is coming to India later in December)

Any guidance / recommendations will be highly appreciated.
