OCI: Receiving error - Uploaded file contains more than one extension

I've tried multiple times over the last few days to upload signature on Indian OCI site, however, I'm receiving the error as stated - 'Uploaded file contains more than one extension. Please try with jpeg/jpg format'
The following are the details of the file I'm trying to upload:

• Height: 150px
• Width: 450px
• Aspect ratio: 1:3
• Size: 12K
• Format: jpg

Even when the format is compliant with the specifications, it keeps throwing this error.
Any help to resolve the issue is appreciated!

I am not sure how to start a new thread and hence posting my issue here as well:
I need to get my new USA passport updated in the system against my current OCI number. When I try to "Fill New Miscellaneous application" . It asks for passport and OCI number. I put in the original USA passport number, OCI number and birth date. I get "record not found" error. I have tried many variations but no luck. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Your file name probably has two dots in the name - like "my.passport.photo.jpg"
Make sure it has only one dot - like "my-passport-photo.jpg" or just "myphoto.jpg"

I am guessing that they probably entered a wrong (mistyped) number for your previous US passport number on your OCI.

Open the last page of your OCI - with your name & address etc. On the last but one line you will see the US passport number linked to the OCI. Try with that and your OCI number, and your record should come up. If not, you will have to contact your consulate about it.
