Can we get PIO on same day in New york

Did anyone recently get PIO on same day in New York when applied in person? Please let me know your experience. I need to go to India urgently and cannot wait for the long processing time of OCI. Please reply.

Hi

Not in one day. U can get in four days if u apply in person at new york consulate. Me applied on 29th june and got it on 5 th july. They take four working days to process the pio if u apply in person.

How about SC? Can I apply for SC and PIO on the same day, if I go in person?

Yes u can apply together when u apply in person.Pio+ cancellation of indian passport together is easy in new york indian consulate it takes only 5 days when u apply in person not by the post
