  • New OCI card lost in mail

    Hello there,

    My new OCI card was just delivered 2 days ago by fedex. But i did not receive it. Fedex is saying its delivered. Tried to see everywhere and could not find it. I presume it may have been lost, i live in midwest and we had a lot of wind past 2 days.

    what are my options now.? How can get a new card issued? has anyone done before? thanks

    That sucks. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this.

    First, file a claim with FedEx for lost shipment. All packages are insured for $100 by FedEx by default, so you can get that amount if you file a claim.

    Then you need to apply for OCI re-issue under "OCI Misc Services" for "In case of loss/damage of OCI registration certificate/visa." Download the Misc Services checklist and see the requirements for "OCI RE-ISSUE FOR LOST OCI CARD" on the last page.

      I am trying to apply for a lost OCI as well. The Misc Service option asks for the OCI Number, which I do not have. Any idea how I can fill up a lost OCI application.

        Hi, I am in a similar situation. FedEx has lost my new OCI as well. Did you both manage to apply for lost OCI. Can you please help me with your suggestions and next steps? Thanks.
