Renunciation processing time- Too long

Hi, I have submitted application for renunciation/surrender certificate of indian citizenship on 11/26/2021. It's been 11 weeks now and no response. Online status says " Your application has reached at the Embassy/Consulate and is currently under review process" for past 9 weeks. I did not receive any email form them for any missing document or any requirement. I am concern as this is way more than expected time ( as of now, VFS website says processing time is 3-5 business days once it reaches to embassy).
Does Anyone here have same issue recently? How to get the actual status and expected time? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you contact the embassy/consulate about the delay?

Find an email address for consular section of the embassy/consulate and write to them directly on that email address. Be very courteous, explain what you just said, include the date of application, application number, full name, DOB.

I am also facing the same issue. I submitted my passport in person at the Melbourne VFS centre and it's been 8 weeks. continues to say it's being processed. Navkar, did you get yours eventually?

Have you received yours back since it's now May? If so, can you please share how many weeks it took so I can estimate how long it'll be for me too?
