Oci application

I applied for an OCI in July this year and I have not had any communication from the Indian High Commission in London, except a note on a piece of paper to say my application has been accepted. I have written letters and tried calling to no avail.

Can you help and let me know what happens next? Do I have to wait for a formal letter of acceptance with which I have to go to the Indian High Commission?
