    Hello Folks

    I just got my Naturalization Certificate last week. In order for me to travel to India, I am expected to get a renunciation certificate for which I need my US passport which will take 4-6 weeks. Can someone please advise if I can surrender my Indian passport and a copy of the Naturalization certificate instead of the US passport? The VFSglobal site clearly mentions providing a copy of the US passport details.

    Any advice or direction is appreciated.

    You must put your US passport details in the application. You also need to send naturalization certificate copy.

      Thanks for your response. So basically I have to wait until I get my US passport before applying for the renunciation certificate. No way around that.

        Yes but you can get evisa while waiting for renunciation if you need to travel in few weeks.

          Check this --> https://eoi.gov.in/eoisearch/MyPrint...ign%20passport.

          There is a 3-month grace period.
