Hello all,
My parents are USA citizens. They have applied for renunciation already, currently pending. They have to travel to India for more then 6 months (unforeseen reasons)
I am thinking of the following:
1) Apply for evisa, once granted travel to india.
2) Once I get my parents Surrender Certificate from renuciation, I will apply for their OCI here in the USA.
3) Once I get the OCI card, I will ship it to India
4) Once they receive it, they will apply for Visa-to-OCI conversation.
I want to know whether this is possible? Can I apply for my parents OCI in USA while they are in India on a tourist visa?
