OCI application rejected

My husband and I had applied for OCI (San Francisco). Just today, I checked the status on "online status inquiry" as suggested in your procedure for granting OCI. My application was granted while my husband's was rejected. How will I find out the reason his application was rejected? Do I write to the consulate in San Francisco?
