Travel to India, passport expiring in May'11

Quick question, My passport expires in May'11, I am travelling to india in jan and returning back by the end of feb,
Will there be any problem while coming back to US because my passport is valid for 3 more months only. My H1 visa goes beyond 2011.
I am planning to apply for a new passport as soon as I am back to US.

You accpet the risk of getting the I-94 only till the date of the PP expiration and in turn have another extension filed or travel again before the I-94 expires.

Better to renew the PP now and travel.

Thanks, Isn't the I-94 based on visa expiry and not passport expiry?
My current I-94 is valid till the end of 2011 irrespective of passport expiry!!
