Lost the old passport w valid India visa , Can i get new e visa with my new passport

we were supposed to be flying out yesterday to india from the US. My daughter is a US passport holder with a 5 year India visa valid till 2027. Unfortunately we realized it only at the airport that her visa is in her old expired passport and we are not able to find her old passport . We applied for another e visa last night with her new passport , but haven't heard back anything. We rescheduled the flight to tomorrow night. Is there any hope of getting a new visa or anything else that we could be possibly doing?

The airline will not allow her to board the flight with a visa or e-visa. The e-visa website says 24 hours for the response. You will have to rebook the ticket if you don't receive the e-visa before check-in.
