my passport is expiring after 5 months.I want to apply for new passport from DC consulate.Do i need to provide indian address proof or is the old address on old passport can act as a proof.Is there any police verification required at the given indian address.

1.In India,I do not live at the Address that i have on current passport.Do i need to provide the address proof for this current printed address.

No need of any police verification in India. They will need your current address proof.
