Surrender Certificate Processing at New York Consulate

I had sent my passport to get the surrender certificate from CGI New York. It reached the consulate on January 19 and so far I have not recieved. I would be happy if people post their outcomes if they have applied the surrender certificate in New York around the same timeframe. I dont know how long I need to wait.

Did you get surrender certificate. If you received it then when did you receive it? I also sent mine on 19 Jan and tracking number shows that CGI New york received it on 22 Jan. So far I haven't received my surrender certificate.

I have already recieved mine on Feb 9. I know they are a little behind. I suggest that you wait for a while and if you do not recieve it by the end of the week then call them.
